I sat in a coffee shop with Leann and her mom last June and they told me all of Leann’s wishes for her big day. It was going to be a backyard wedding at Leann’s parent’s house. They had it all worked out already and it sounded fabulous! Then, Leann’s parents moved to Owensboro. Quickly they started trying to come up with a new plan and landed on getting married at The Pearl Club where her parents had bought a new house. Ben and Leann play golf, her parent’s new house would be perfect for getting ready, and the course was absolutely beautiful!
Although we had record heat for the first weekend of September, they’re day could not have gone any better! After Leann got ready, Brett shuttled Ben in a golf cart to the first look location while I drove Leann in a cart. (That was a site, since I’ve never driven one before, LOL!) After their first look, we caravanned in the carts all around the course to the best spots for photos!
They’re ceremony sat among tall trees facing a small pond and it was beautiful. They were surrounded by a ton of friends and family, including their 20 person wedding party! It truly was an amazing day! Ben & Leann–thank you for letting me be a part of your wedding story. I hope you enjoy St. Lucia when November rolls around! It will be worth the wait!
Callie Jo kept was a great guard dog!
I love how he spread her train out after the First Look so he could see the whole dress!
We drove around the gold course in carts…now I want one for every wedding!
Look at that big party!
Guests parked their cars at the club house and then hopped on a cart to make their way down the hill to the ceremony!
Leann got a special escort to the aisle!
Teary eyes! Even though Ben and Leann did a first look, he still got teary when she walked down the aisle! I love it! A very good example of how a first look doesn’t take away any of the emotions from the ceremony!
Oh, that light!!! While the guests made their way back up to the club house and into the reception, we took full advantage of the glowy light and this beautiful view!
The icing on his cake was about 8 inches thick! No joke!
The cake is serious business!
Those boys waited all day to hear “Watch me Whip/Nae Nae” and they knew every move!
