I often wear a necklace with a small silver anchor on it. It was given to me by a friend I met at the Pursuit 31 conference last October (Thanks, Amanda!) where this was the verse for the week. The anchor is a constant reminder of this verse, Hebrews 6:19, which says, “We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, both sure and steadfast.” I’m not sure which part I like better…that our Hope in God is like an anchor for our souls or that His hope is sure and steadfast! Either way, it’s truth and it’s something I choose to believe daily.
We have been (and still are) on a journey that often feels hopeless. But I’m so incredibly thankful that there is HOPE in the Lord and His promises and that our journey is not hopeless. We are hopeful. I pray this touches someone today. Someone who feels like the journey they’re on is hopeless and there is no end, or no answer, or no God. Because He is great. He is faithful. And we can put our HOPE in Him. He never leaves us or disappears. He is sure and steadfast.
