An Elm Grove Baptist & Murray Women’s Club Wedding
Sometimes couples come along that are just so perfect together that it’s hard to even put into words. That’s how John & Dacia are. After getting to know them through their wedding journey, it’s so obvious that they were made for one another. They are both so calm and laid back and they treat those around them with such loyalty and respect. Their wedding day was just that too! It was a wedding that reflected they’re simple style and laid pack personalities. Dacia and her family collected old, vintage Coke bottles for the table décor and she made little poms to fill each bottle. Such a cute touch! Her dress was a perfect, twirly, lace covered, tea length gown that was “so Dacia” and their invitations were made from a vintage Murray postcard of her grandmother’s. I love when couples personalize their weddings and John & Dacia did just that! Enjoy some of my favorites from their fall wedding!
Love this shot Robyn got of Dacia’s dress!
Look at John’s big smile when he saw her!
I stood in the crowd for a shot of them coming down the steps while Robyn waited for them at the bottom! I love the ones she got of them as they were getting hit with bird seed!
John & Dacia brewed their own beer for the wedding! I loved the labels on the bottles!
So…John wanted a group shot of all the guests at the reception…sort of to mimic the group shot at the end of the movie The Shining. I was having a hard time fitting everyone in while I stood in the chair, so the DJ offered to help lift me so I could sit on the mantle behind me. Let’s just say it almost came crashing down (but it didn’t, whew!) so I just had to fit in as many as possible. This whole room of guests cheered for me after we got the shot! It was a tiny bit embarrassing…but when the groom makes a request, the groom gets what he wants!
Then we headed down stairs for dancing!
