I don’t say it enough. I really don’t. My clients are the best!
I truly love my job. I am an extrovert who loves people and one of my favorite parts of my job is getting to know my clients. They become my friends and my hope is that makes they’re experience with MLP more than just getting their photos taken. I started my business never knowing I would make long lasting relationships, but 6 years in and I have friends who are awesome and truly care about me.
Yesterday, I was busy making a bouquet and cutting fruit to snack on for a coaching session. I had music blaring through our house and I was excited to spend the day teaching again. My phone notified me that an email just came in. In between cutting the strawberries and pineapple, I stopped to check my email.
It was from a bride’s mom. She sent the sweetest note to let me know I was on her mind and she was praying for us and the baby God has planned for our family. I immediately smiled, and then teared up, of course! I was blown away by her thoughtfulness. She took time out her day at work to send me an email and some encouragement.
My clients send me thank you notes in the mail or have a gift waiting for me when I show up to shoot their wedding. They share their photos with the world when they get them back. They pray for our future child and tell us that he/she is invited to the wedding if they’re here by then. One couple even showed up to our yard sale for adoption costs!
They’re active in my life, and I hope they feel like the friendship is reciprocated. Like I said, when I started my business I never imagined I would be making relationships. I never thought some of my brides would turn into dear friends. I never dreamed my future child would be so loved and prayed for. I’m so thankful for where God has brought me and the clients He has brought into my life. They make being a business owner totally worth it and make my life better.
