I love fun weddings and this was definitely a fun one! I first met Liz when I was shooting her friend’s wedding last summer. Once she got engaged, Liz contacted me about shooting her wedding this October and doing her engagement photos in NYC, where she and Scott lives. We spent the entire day shooting around the city and I feel like I got to really know the two lovebirds!
Their crisp, fall day finally arrived and it was gorgeous (a bit windy, but a pretty day nonetheless)! They were surrounded by friends and family from all over the country and everyone came ready to party! The ceremony and reception was at St. Francis De Sales, which is a beautiful church in downtown Paducah. The entire day was filled with laughter and tears, and it’s evident that Scott and Liz are CRAZY about one another! The reception hall was decorated so awesome…Lots of colors, lots of chevron patterns, and lots of mustaches. It was perfect. Since Scott and Liz love Mexican food and had it on their first date, they had their reception catered by Casa Mexicana and it was a spread!
Congrats Dr. & Mrs. Johnston. I’m so happy for you and so delighted that I got to be a part of your journey…in Paducah and NYC!
A big thanks goes out to my friend, Dianne, with Dianne Lisette Photography, for shooting with me again! We’ve learned that we make quite a good team.
It took two months, but Liz hand-sewed all the beading along the bottom of her dress. It was the perfect touch!

LOVE this shot that Dianne got below! Thanks Dianne 🙂
We did a first look with her bridesmaids too. How fun!
Liz has her own hand bag line, so of course that was the perfect gift for all her bridesmaids! Check out her line here.
I love that he licked her after feeding her cake!!
Scott’s sister was due in 2 weeks. They actually just had their little baby boy. Congrats!
Love the photos! Adriana and I are sorry we couldn’t make the wedding! 🙂
